She's the Geek joins the Holiday Program

An organisation called Impact Direct Ministries who have been  running a holiday program for two years already to keep children safe from the street, teaching Life skills and motivating them to reach for a dream. Today I had the wonderful opportunity to spend the day with a group of boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 12 who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Each group had to choose a name and were assigned tasks and the topics we had to discuss was Drug Abuse, Pornography, Sexual Abuse, as we started our discussion I was amazed at how colourful these children's lives were back home and what they were exposed to. At the end of the day the group presented posters they made and banners saying what the dangers are of Drug abuse and the effects it has on the Lives of loved ones's. Below I have included a pic of how creative these kids are. I am truly proud of each one and would like to thank the Organisation for allowing me to experience and enrich the lives of these wonderful children
