Running The Race

Being a Woman ,I always have running list of things to do,Goals to set,Tasks waiting to be accomplished.Just when I checked off a few,I realize that I've added more to the list - Never ending

Thank God that his mercies are never ending
I encourage you let's run the race,Laying aside every weight,including the lists of things waiting to be done and the things that keep us from him.
Let's fix our eyes on JESUS,and run hard after him.In doing so we will run straight
into the Father's Loving Arms.

Hebrews 12:1-2

Therefore,since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.Let us fix our eyes on Jesus,the author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Humility

Definition : Humble
The Dictionary says that Humble means to have or show a low estimate
of one's own importance

This definition is helpful but it doesn't say completely what we mean by being humble.We are not unimportant - God thinks we are extremely important.we are important in our christian community too.we should show a low estimate of our importance and have a high regard for the importance of others.This means putting others first.

Phillipians 2:5-11
Jesus was important but he showed Humility.He put others first,including you and me.

A.C.T.S

This system is based on an acronym ( When the letters in a word stand for something )
and the acronym is nice and Biblical - it is ACTS




A is for Adoration
This is where we start - Loving , Adoring and Praising God.

C is for Confession
After praising God for how Great he is , we can see how unworthy we are.
So we ask him forgive you for the wrong stuff we've done today.

T is for Thanksgiving
Having received forgiveness , We can thank God for all the
Blessings he has given us.

S is for Supplication
We've thanked him for all we have , now we can ask.
We should ask for others , for both friends and enemies.
This is also called intercession.Finally we can ask God for ourselves,
all our Hopes , Joys and Fears our Dreams and our Needs.

Patience

We live in an instant world,most of us turn on a tap and get water.We flick a switch and have electricity.We have what we need when we want it .Sometimes , this attitude effects our whole life, including our spiritual life. How often do we expect an instant answer from God

Next time we pray for something,Why not also ask for PATIENCE ?

God is listening and will answer , but you may need to be patient.

Psalm 40:1

I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.

Faith is the key

We are all unique,being a Christian doesn't mean conforming to what other people think we should look like,or following religious rules in order for God to accept us.
It is all down to faith in Jesus .

Philippians 3:9
'... Now I am right with God, not because I followed the law, but because I believed in Christ.
God uses my faith to be right with him.'
