Temptations Everywhere

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
1 CORINTHIANS 10:13 NIV

If you stop to think about it, the cold, hard evidence is right in front of your eyes: you live in a temptation-filled world. The devil is out on the street, hard at work, causing pain, stress, and heartache in more ways than ever before. Here in the 21st century, the bad guys are working around the clock to lead you astray. That’s why you must remain vigilant.

In a letter to believers, Peter offered a stern warning: “Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8 NASB). What was true in New Testament times is equally true in our own. Satan tempts his prey and then devours them. As believing Christians, we must beware. And, if we seek righteousness in our own lives, we must earnestly wrap ourselves in the protection of God’s Holy Word. When we do, we are secure.

The devil’s most devilish when respectable. ~Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Do not fight the temptation in detail. Turn from it. Look ONLY at your Lord. Sing. Read. Work. ~Amy Carmichael

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus went through agony of soul in His efforts to resist the temptation to do what He felt like doing rather than what He knew was God’s will for Him. ~Joyce Meyer

Temptation is not a sin. Even Jesus was tempted. The Lord Jesus gives you the strength needed to resist temptation. ~Corrie Ten Boom

TODAY’S PRAYER
Lord, life is filled with temptations to stray from your chosen path. But, I face no temptation that You have not already met and conquered through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the One who empowers me with His strength and His love. Amen

Because I am on God’s side, today, I cannot be defeated.

I expect and receive favor in my life, favor in my home, favor in my work, favor in my ministry,
favor in my finances, and favor in all my dealings.
Wisdom and understanding are better than silver and gold and nothing I desire can compare
with them; therefore, I make it my ambition and desire to have understanding and wisdom;
therefore, I know I will have all of the other desires of my heart. (Proverbs 8:10-11)
I ask for, and receive, an abundant supply of wisdom and understanding today from God (James
1:5)…wisdom from above, wisdom that is pure, peaceable, gentle, unwavering, willing to yield,
without hypocrisy. (James 3:17)
My mouth speaks forth wisdom, and my heart is filled with understanding. (Psalm 49:3)
My words go before me and secure my covenant rights to righteousness, health and wealth.
I will not be worried, today; I will not be sick, today; I will not be sad, today; I will not be
depressed, today; I will not be in lack, today; and I will not be confused today.
I have health, today; I have joy, today; and I have all the money and resources I need in the name
of Jesus. Where God guides, He provides!
My steps are ordered by the Lord. (Psalm 37:23)
I have a covenant with God and by the blood of Jesus I release His divine protection and divine
provision over my life. By His stripes I am healed.
My angels are carrying out the Word of God on my behalf.
I receive supernatural strength and encouragement from God and my angels. Angels carry out
the Word of God and every word that I speak in line with God’s Word is being carried out by
my angels, even now as I speak. (Psalm 103:20)
I expect to have divine appointments, today, to run into the right people and to be delivered
from the wrong people.
Any attack, accident, or tragedy that is headed my way is diverted right now in Jesus’ name.
No weapon formed against me shall prosper and every tongue that rises against me in judgment
shall be shown to be wrong. (Isaiah 54:17 - Amplified) I am more than a conqueror through Him
who loved me, and nothing can separate me from His love. (Romans 8:37-39)
I speak to the raging waters coming against my life: Peace, be still!
I say to my emotions: Peace, be still!
I say to my mind: Peace, be still!
I say to my body: Peace, be still!
I say to my family: Peace, be still!
Now I speak to:
Every mountain of fear
Every mountain of discouragement
Every mountain of stress
Every mountain of depression
Every mountain of poverty, lack and want
And I say, “Be removed and cast into the sea in Jesus’ name! (Mark 11:23)
In the name of Jesus, I expect today to be the best day of my life because I am an “overcoming
overcomer”.

I am going higher and rising fast.

PUT YOUR PAST IN THE PAST!

In the game of life, you can sometimes be your own enemy, and your CONSCIENCE CAN ATTACK YOU! Do you feel badly about your past? Are you haunted by the ghost of guilt? Sometimes, do you just feel like a loser? It's pretty easy to get down on yourself when you focus on your own failures, frustrations and inadequacies.

If you spend your life looking at the past defeats and mistakes, you won't be able to live today. IF YOU HAVE ASKED GOD'S CLEANSING GRACE, TRUST IN HIS FORGIVENESS.

TRUST IN HIS FAITHFULNESS. FOCUS ON HIM! Nothing in the past can change that. Most importantly, NOTHING IN YOUR PAST OR PRESENT CAN SEPARATE YOU FROM THE LOVE OF GOD.

Belief in God is good for you, research demonstrate that people who have faith in God cope better with grief, illness and psychological pain.

Sometimes the darkness of depression, despair, anxiety or disturbance is overwhelming. Christians can feel like spiritual failures at times like these. IT IS TIME TO RELY ON GOD! The good thing about suffering is that leaves us with no option but submits ourselves again to Jesus and let him take control.

In my own struggles with anxiety I have found that my fear turns to hope when I think about owe of some power of the God that stands behind me. I AM LIKE A SMALL DAVID IN FRONT OF A GREAT GOLIATH, THEN I TURN AND SEE MY FATHER GOD BEHIND ME ENCOURAGING ME FORWARD, suddenly Goliath doesn't seem so big any more.

My 2 years with Christ

On the 10 July 2009, I celebrated my 2 year anniversary with Christ.

When I think back to the night I walked through the doors of the Impact Centre still intoxicated not having any expectations whatsoever, little did I know God had other plans for me.

The previous day I tried to commit suicide, looking in the mirror telling myself over and over that I was ugly. I never told a soul, but while The Apostle Roger Petersen was praying for me he felt my pain and told me exactly what I felt and what I attempted.
I remember thinking this man is Psychic how can he know so much because everything he said about me was true and I never told anybody.

That night I accepted Jesus Christ as my saviour and now know that God is real. The past two years have been so great for me I have achieved so much and know there are greater things instore for me and I'm thankful to God for reuniting me with my family, he has set me free from my addiction and blessed me with a beautiful healthy baby girl,he has also provided me with a job which I Love. For a very long time I have been searching for Love and finally found what I was looking for, Jesus Christ.

I Thank God each and every day for my life, May God continue to Bless the Impact Direct Ministries for opening their doors, continued Support and undying Love they have showed me.

Unforgiveness is Disobedience...

Unforgiveness gives Satan an advantage, a way to control you… the bible says we are aware of his devices and we are commanded to avoid giving him a foothold in one area, that could very well affect every area of our lives until it is resolved.

Many people look at other Christians and they think they are so sweet and love the lord, so what happened… they got sick and did not receive their healing… why? Chances are that’s not the only thing that they didn’t receive of all of the promises that God had for them.

Forgiveness is a choice; based on obedience of God’s command, that is clearly set forth in His Word... that we "walk in love".

2 Cor 2:10-11 States “whom you forgive I also forgive, for if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ lest Satan take advantage of us for we are not ignorant of his devices.”

One of the things we learn is that unforgiveness is one of Satan’s devices, an instrument, a weapon, a plot, a scheme, a tool, that he uses. People that Satan couldn’t get to to rob a bank or shoot someone, he gets to them through strife, bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness… things that many people wouldn’t describe as awful sins. Some people look at some folks and say oh, they are a wonderful Christian, they love God, they read their Bible, they pray, and yet that person could be soaking with strife and unforgiveness. Why? Because we don’t always identify it as one of the things that is a “major” sin. Yet, the scripture says that it is a device of Satan. Paul said “forgive, lest Satan should get an advantage of us”;. That tells us that unforgiveness in our heart can give Satan an advantage over us, a way of controlling us, robbing us of our joy, our deliverance, our peace, our love, harmony in the home, the victory of overcoming, from possessing all of the 7000 promises of God, our prosperity, our salvation… If Satan gets an advantage, a foot hold, all of those things are stopped. All of them. We can’t possess them when there is bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness in our lives, which makes this a very important issue: don’t fall for it. Wake up and understand that we are in a culture right now in the world that is fostering, festering, stirring up, strife, bitterness and unforgiveness. Talk shows are really into it, talking about how upset they are, angry, and how they are going to take revenge and get people back that hurt us. Ultimately, bitterness and unforgiveness takes people in that direction, and it begins with strife.

There are a multitude of blessings waiting for us to receive, to possess by faith… that’s how we possess all of the promises of God. We are saved by faith. We are healed by faith. We are filled with the Holy Spirit by faith. We walk by faith. We live by faith… but faith works by love. Unforgiveness is the opposite of love. Bitterness and resentment are all the kin folks of unforgiveness. When you get into that family, it is a family that stops the love of God from operating and, therefore, it shuts your faith down.

GOD GIVES BIRTH TO gods!

Well, I'm not the one who said it; God Himself said so in His Word: "I have said ye are gods; and all of you are children of the Most High (Psalm 82:6).

If God gave birth to you, what do you think you are? You must be a god under Him! He's Pappa God, and we're His kids. Children of God ought to be gods. Come to think of it, if you can change the circumstances of your life, you must be a god!

When someone gives his heart to Christ and becomes born again, he receives the divine nature. His spirit is imparted with the eternal life of Almighty God and he becomes one like Him His very offspring. The Bible says in James 1:18, "He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, and in 1 Peter 1:23, "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever." The Bible also says, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17), Hallelujah!

Now that we're born again and partakers of His divine nature (2 Peter 1:4), the life of God has taken up residence in our spirits. We're not what we used to be; we may look the same way we used to look on the outside, but on the inside, we're new creatures, born again and filled with the Spirit of God! When God created Man, He created him in His image and after His likeness. That's why we look like Him; we have two hands the same way He has two hands. We have two legs, one head, one mouth, one nose, two ears and two eyes just like Him. When God gives birth, you can't expect Him to produce a failure. That's inconsistent with His nature. So God is training us just as a daddy trains his kids, because we belong to Him.
